Have you paid Canada Water Theatre a visit yet? You’ll find us on the banks of Canada Water’s beautiful lake (home to a population of culturally savvy geese and terrapins) right above the exit of Canada Water London Overground station. Hidden amongst the books and shelves of the library you’ll discover our theatre, full to the brim with a cracking programme of new ideas, theatre, comedy, music and shows for all the family.

Designed by world renowned architect Piers Gough, partner at CZWG architects, the Canada Water Library opened in November 2011. The library incorporates a range of cultural and community facilities, reflecting Southwark Council's ambition to put libraries at the heart of community life. As part of an innovative partnership with Southwark Council, our 150 seat Theatre is managed and programmed by the Albany, South East London's leading performing arts venue.

The Albany has a reputation for visionary programming that reflects the cultural diversity and creative mix of the area. So whether you're coming to a performance, hiring a meeting room, or visiting the library we look forward to welcoming you soon.
