Iris Theatre is a dynamic young company based at the world famous Actors Church in Covent Garden. We are a registered charity with a mission to support the development of the next generation of professional theatre practitioners across all theatre forms.
The company is firmly routed within the West End theatre environment. We produce a fresh and vibrant repertoire of varied work resulting in affordable and accessible theatre catering to all age ranges right in the heart of London. Our collaborative approach explores performance of all styles (from classical and musical theatre to circus-style acrobatics) working as a cohesive whole.
The centre of our year is a five week long all encompassing and immersive Summer Shakespeare production, working with the very best of new young talent. With an engaging approach to our promenade show, and a unique perspective, we make Shakespeare’s magic come alive in a fresh and exciting way.
Iris Theatre was created in 2007 to produce a production of T.S. Eliot's Murder in the Cathedral at the world famous St. Paul’s Church in Covent Garden, right in the heart of Central London. The success of that production led on to further shows, more success, and a dynamic company which has grown year on year.
Now a registered charity, Iris does not receive regular core funding and operates with great support from volunteers and passionate theatre professionals, who believe in the Iris’ charitable aims of supporting new and emerging talent.
