Synopsis
Step into the enchanting world of The Secret Garden and let your imagination bloom!
From the team that brought you last year’s Five Children and It, the Tabard invites you to experience this timeless classic brought to life for Christmas.
Young Mary Lennox, a spirited and curious orphan, is sent away to her Uncle Archibald’s estate in Yorkshire. Struggling to adapt, she takes solace in the outdoors and unearths the key to a secret long lost garden. Together with local boy Dickon, she tends to the neglected flora and fauna, unlocking the secrets of the garden and her own resilient spirit.
Based on the 1911 classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, this in-house production is adapted by Louise Haddington and directed by the Tabard’s Artistic Director Simon Reilly.
